Avocet Risk Management has received approval from the UK Environment Agency to open EU ETS holding accounts on behalf of aircraft operators.

Avocet’s ETS custody service circumvents the need for aircraft operators to undertake complicated due diligence and ‘know your client’ checks in order to purchase EU emissions allowances. Avocet can open an AOHA within 48 hours enabling any qualifying aircraft operator to acquire and surrender emissions allowances prior to the 30 April 2013 deadline.  Non-compliance will incur a statutory EU penalty of €100 per tonne.
Avocet also supplies emissions allowances in large or small quantities.
